An 11,000 sq ft Family Home

This beautiful 11,000 sq ft Good Class Bungalow was a wonderful project to bring to life. Set within one of Singapore’s prestigious residential enclaves, the property offered exceptional proportions, established tropical gardens, a large swimming pool and dedicated outdoor spaces for the children.

Our clients were already living in Singapore but were making a significant transition from a three-bedroom condominium into a residence almost ten times the size of their existing home. The challenge was not simply to furnish a much larger property, but to ensure that despite its scale, the new home felt warm, inviting and genuinely suited to family life.

The project began by carefully considering the furniture and artwork the family already owned. We incorporated key pieces from their Singapore apartment alongside furniture and personal belongings arriving in a shipment from the UK, before sourcing the additional furniture, rugs, lighting, artwork and accessories required to complete the residence.

With such generous spaces, scale and proportion were particularly important. Each room needed to feel appropriately furnished without becoming overly formal or losing the relaxed atmosphere the family wanted. New pieces were selected to complement their existing collection, creating a cohesive interior rather than the feeling of an entirely new or overly styled home.

The design concept centred around comfortable, sophisticated family living. Soft furnishings, layered textures, natural materials and carefully considered furniture arrangements brought warmth and intimacy to the expansive interiors, while practical choices ensured the home could comfortably accommodate everything from everyday family life and children's play to entertaining and dinner parties.

Throughout the residence, Havana Interiors balanced elegance with functionality, creating individual spaces with their own character while maintaining a sense of continuity across the home.

The result is a refined yet wonderfully welcoming Good Class Bungalow — a home that embraces the grandeur of its 11,000 sq ft footprint while still feeling personal, relaxed and lived in.

For a family moving from a condominium into one of Singapore's most substantial residential properties, our role extended beyond simply selecting furniture. It was about understanding what they already owned and loved, identifying what the new home required, and bringing every element together to create a beautiful and cohesive family residence.
