Martin Modern

Wabi Sabi Inspired Living

This beautiful Martin Modern residence was created for executive clients relocating to Singapore from Switzerland, who approached Havana Interiors to help transform their new condominium into a sophisticated and welcoming home.

The clients were bringing a selection of much-loved furniture with them from their existing home in Europe, while the remainder of the residence needed to be thoughtfully furnished and styled. Our role was to bring these existing pieces together with carefully sourced new furniture, lighting, rugs, artwork and accessories to create a cohesive interior that felt established from the moment they arrived.

The design direction was inspired by a Wabi Sabi aesthetic - understated, organic and beautifully imperfect. Rather than filling the rooms with unnecessary pieces, we focused on simplicity, balance and allowing key furniture to become the focal point within each space.

Natural materials, tactile finishes, organic forms and a restrained palette were introduced throughout the apartment. Softer elements and layers of texture brought warmth to the contemporary architecture, creating an interior that feels calm and refined without appearing overly styled.

Particular consideration was given to integrating the clients' existing furniture into the new scheme. Each piece was assessed in relation to the proportions and character of the apartment, with new furnishings selected to complement rather than compete with what the clients already owned.

The result is a home that feels quietly luxurious, warm and deeply considered. Clean lines are softened through texture and natural materials, while sculptural furniture and carefully chosen decorative pieces give each room its own sense of character.

For clients relocating internationally, creating a new home is about much more than simply sourcing furniture. Havana Interiors provides a highly personalised approach to executive relocation and interior design, bringing together existing possessions with new selections to create a home that feels cohesive, comfortable and personal.

A serene Singapore residence where simplicity, texture and considered design come together.
