A Refined New Home for a Returning Client

This 3,000 sq ft residence was designed for a returning executive client who approached Havana Interiors after moving from their previous apartment into a significantly larger home.

Three years earlier, we had completed the interiors of the client's former residence, located just around the corner. When the opportunity arose to move into a larger property, the client returned to Havana Interiors to help create the next chapter of their home.

The new residence presented a very different design challenge. With a generous split-level layout, careful consideration was required to ensure the various living spaces felt connected and cohesive, while working with the unique proportions and levels of the property.

The design concept centred around creating an interior that felt light, airy and effortlessly sophisticated. Clean lines, a restrained palette and thoughtfully selected furniture allowed the generous spaces to breathe, while softer textures and considered decorative elements introduced warmth and personality.

As with many of our international executive clients, longevity and flexibility were important considerations when selecting furniture. With the possibility of relocating to Australia in the coming years, pieces were chosen not only for this particular residence, but for their timeless design, quality and versatility - allowing them to transition naturally into a future home.

Rather than designing solely for one property, our approach considered the client's broader lifestyle. Each investment was carefully selected to work beautifully within the St Thomas Walk residence while remaining relevant beyond their time in Singapore.

The result is a home that feels fresh, understated and beautifully resolved, balancing the architectural challenges of the split-level layout with a sense of calm and continuity throughout.
