A Serene & Sophisticated Home Refresh

This 2,500 sq ft residence was home to two busy executives who approached Havana Interiors after living in the property for five years. They wanted to refresh their interiors and create a home that felt more refined, serene and cohesive, while retaining a selection of furniture they already owned.

Having previously relocated from the United States, the clients had accumulated furniture over many years - including pieces that had made the move to Singapore with them 15 years earlier, alongside more recent purchases they wanted to incorporate into the new scheme.

Rather than starting again, our approach was to carefully edit, retain and build upon what the clients already had.

The existing interior had evolved gradually over time, resulting in a mix of furniture, styles and finishes that no longer felt connected. Our role was to bring clarity and cohesion to the residence, identifying the pieces worth retaining and introducing new furniture, rugs, lighting, artwork and accessories to tie the spaces together.

The design concept centred around creating a calm and sophisticated home with warmth and personality. A considered neutral palette provided the foundation, while natural textures, soft furnishings and layered materials introduced depth and prevented the interior from feeling overly minimal or formal.

Existing pieces were thoughtfully repositioned and incorporated alongside new selections, allowing the home to feel refreshed without losing the familiarity and character that had developed over many years.

For our clients, both with demanding professional lives, the process also needed to be straightforward and efficiently managed. Havana Interiors provided a highly personalised service, taking care of the design direction, furniture selection and styling to create a finished home without requiring the clients to manage every detail themselves.
